About

The company that built and operated Chicago's White City amusement park. Its financing was organized by Joseph Beifeld, owner of the Sherman House hotel, who served as an early president; his brother Morris Beifeld also led the firm, and Paul D. Howse was a founder and the park's general manager. The company built the park on ground leased from the meatpacking heir J. Ogden Armour and ran it from its 1905 opening until it fell into receivership in 1933.
